Banquet
A rare opportunity to experience a medieval banquet, using recipes taken from King Richard II’s cook book ‘The Forme of Cury’, and will be eaten from bread plates called Trenchers.

A sumptuous selection of over 15 medieval dishes for you to try and enjoy, including ‘bags of mystery’, fish, meats, cheese, vegetables dishes, puddings, and ending with that new discovery - coffee!

A veritable feast which will delight and surprise you

The Feast will begin with a procession and presentation to the Top Table of the Boars Head with a period song ‘ The Boars Head carol’ and minstrels’ accompaniment.

St Johns Rice and Carob Sauce (Rice Pudding with Chocolate Sauce)    
Pears in Red Wine with Cream.

Fromage’s avec les Fruit de Bourgogne (Cheese and Chutney with Wafer Biscuits)            
Ginger Bread    
Fifth Remove
Hot Posset of Roasted Arabian Beans (Coffee), or Tea
